No Water – No Juice, but the best of both.
Non-alcoholic beverages are constantly characterised by continuing changes of and within the segments. Taking a look onto Energy- and Lifestyle Dinks, these changes are fundamentally present, whereas volume segments such as Water, Carbonated Soft Drinks or Juices seem to be hardly unaffected. But in fact, this is wrong! Most of those volume categories are currently faced by evolutional changes: new segments accrue, well accepted categories merge into something totally new, familiar brands are transferred onto unexploited terrains and novel flavour profiles are launched.
In line with the latest soft drinks trends mentioned, Bell Flavors & Fragrances has recently launched the “Fruit Aqua” concept. These so called Aqua Drinks are still or semi-sparkling soft drinks hybridizing water and juice and therefore providing excellent water properties with a hint of finest fruit. Three main topics have been created comprising “Orchards Best”, which features peach and plum among others, “Exotic Refreshment” with compositions such as orange/grapefruit and “Refined Sophistication”, introducing variations like cherry/elderflower or citrus/peppermint.
