In 2012, Gulfood / Ingredients Middle East reaffirmed once again its position as the world`s largest and
most influential exhibition for the food and beverage industry.
The exhibition which ran from February 19th – 22nd, 2012, is the biggest trade show held in Dubai at DWTC (Dubai World Trade Centre) and attracted more than 68,000 visitors – an increase of 11% compared to the previous year. The participation of more than 3800 exhibitors from 88 countries and more than 110 international pavilions also highlights the important role of the show.
“Gulfood has become a critical part of the business plans of the global food and beverage industry. With the exhibition consistently delivering results and growing year on year, its global stature is unquestioned.”
said Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of the exhibition.
In 2012, Bell Flavors & Fragrances took part the 5th time and presented once again a broad range of new ideas and flavour creations for confectioneries, dairy products, snacks, sauces and instant beverages.
With all three main topics “easy2mix”, “ready4kids” and “back2tradition” which have been especially developed for the MENA Region Bell demonstrated how to realize global and regional trends into saleable products by using flavours.
With “easy2mix” Bell succeeded in an impressive way to launch cocktail drinks in new regions as new fruit compositions for alcohol-free instant drinks are said to be the new innovators in these growing markets. The feedback on the “ready4kids-product world” has been similar outstanding – just to name one: Kids-Ketchup with child-oriented flavour compositions such as Cola or Apple/Cinnamon attracted the visitor`s attention.
But also Bell`s regional classics - promoted under the topic “back2tradition” – were able to set new impulses. Next to Bell`s new Flavour Range for Ghee products, new ideas for shisha tobacco were presented.
The next Gulfood / Ingredients ME will take place from February 24 – 27, 2013!
